## How to deep-clean a washing machine properly

1. Empty the drum and remove any clothes or lint.
2. Pull out the detergent drawer and wash it in warm water; scrub the slot it sits in with an old toothbrush.
3. On a front loader, wipe inside the folds of the rubber door seal, where lint, hair and black mould collect. On a top loader, remove and rinse the lint filter.
