If you’ve been holding off on buying that new patio set or robot vacuum, your patience is about to pay off.
The "Amazon Big Spring Sale" is officially coming back. Unlike Prime Day, which is locked behind a membership paywall, this event is open to everyone. But let’s be honest—not every "deal" on Amazon is actually a deal.
I’ve dug through the leaks and historical data to tell you exactly when it’s happening, what’s worth your money, and what you should absolutely wait until July to buy.
Confirmed Dates: March 25 – March 31, 2026.
How do we know?
Amazon doesn't usually announce these dates to the public until the last minute, but they do tell their sellers early. Leaks from Amazon’s internal "Seller Central" portal have confirmed that the "Spring Deal" slot is locked in for the last week of March.
Mark your calendar: Wednesday, March 25th is when the madness starts.
There are two massive differences that matter to your wallet:
No Prime Membership Needed: This is the biggest selling point. You don't need to pay for a monthly subscription to get the discount prices. (Although, Prime members often get faster shipping).
Different Product Focus: Prime Day (in July) is usually about tech—think Fire Sticks, Kindles, and TVs. The Spring Sale is about seasonality. Amazon wants to sell you stuff for your house, your garden, and your closet.
Based on the last two years of data, these are the categories where we see the deepest price cuts (40% or more).
This is the Super Bowl for brands like Roborock, iRobot, and Shark.
Why: Manufacturers know you are doing "spring cleaning."
Prediction: Look for last year’s flagship robot vacuums (the ones that mop and vacuum) to drop by $200-$300 as they clear stock for new 2026 models.
If you wait until May to buy patio furniture, you will pay full price.
What to watch: Inflatable hot tubs, wicker patio sets, and gardening tools (hoses, lawnmowers).
Pro Tip: Solo Stove (the smokeless fire pits) usually runs massive sales during this week.
Amazon pushes their "Amazon Essentials" and "The Drop" brands hard here. Expect 30-50% off on sundresses, lightweight jackets, and swimwear. It’s the best time to stock up for summer vacations before prices hike in June.
Do not—I repeat, do not—buy these items in March. You will lose money.
Amazon Devices (Echo, Kindle, Fire TV): Amazon will put these on sale, but the discounts are usually mediocre (maybe 20% off). If you wait for Prime Day in July, those same devices are often 50-60% off.
Apple Products: You might see $20 off an iPad, but the heavy-hitting Apple deals almost always happen during Prime Day or Black Friday. Unless you need it tomorrow, wait.
Winter Coats: It sounds counter-intuitive, but the clearance sales on winter gear usually happen in January/February. By late March, the good winter stock is gone, and prices on leftovers can actually be weirdly high.
A "sale" tag doesn't mean it's a good price. Sellers often raise the price a week before the sale just to drop it back down and call it a "30% discount."
How to beat them:
Use a price history tool. Before you click "Buy Now," check the product's history. If the price was the same in February as it is during the "sale," you aren't getting a deal.
The Amazon Big Spring Sale 2026 is excellent for homeowners, gardeners, and anyone needing a spring wardrobe refresh. It is not the best event for hardcore techies or Apple fans.
My plan? I’m buying a pressure washer and restocking my running shoes. Everything else can wait for July.
